Our commitment

Tama Laundry wants everyone on Oʻahu to be able to use our website and book laundry pickup — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technology. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we do

We build pages with semantic HTML so headings, landmarks, links, and form controls are exposed correctly to assistive technology.
We aim for every interactive element to be operable by keyboard, with visible focus.
We provide text alternatives for meaningful images and check color contrast against AA requirements.
We run automated accessibility checks with development tooling as part of building and updating the site, and fix what they find.
Our customer booking and account pages run on the Tama OS platform, whose site engine passes automated WCAG 2.1 A/AA structural testing on every release.

Known limitations

Automated tools can't catch every barrier, and some parts of the site (like blog posts and photos) are updated frequently by our team. If something doesn't work for you, it's a bug to us — please tell us.

Compatibility

This site is built to work with current versions of major browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox) on desktop and mobile, and with the screen readers built into those platforms (VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, JAWS).
