• Payment information: Credit card or payment method details, processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Order information: Service preferences, special instructions, order history.
• Communications: Messages you send to our support team, AI concierge (Kalia), or drivers through the platform.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: Device type, operating system, app version.
• Location data: With your permission, we collect your location to verify service area eligibility, provide delivery tracking, and optimize routes. For drivers, location is tracked during active shifts.
• Usage data: How you interact with our Services, features used, pages visited.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Process and fulfill your laundry orders
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries
• Send order status updates via SMS and push notifications
• Process payments and refunds
• Provide customer support
• Improve and optimize our Services
• Detect and prevent fraud

3. SMS/Text Message Communications

By providing your phone number and using our Services, you consent to receive SMS/text messages from Tama Laundry. These messages include:

• Order confirmations — when you place an order
• Pickup and delivery notifications — when your driver is en route, arrives, or delivers
• Driver dispatch messages — shift assignments, route updates (for drivers)
• Account verification — one-time passcodes for login
• Service alerts — schedule changes, service disruptions

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your order activity. Customers typically receive 3-8 messages per order. Drivers may receive additional messages during active shifts.

Opt-out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent. Note: opting out of SMS may affect your ability to receive time-sensitive order updates.

We do not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely for communications related to our Services.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Payment processing (Stripe), SMS delivery (Twilio), and cloud infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel).
• Drivers and vendors: We share your name, address, and order details with assigned drivers and laundry vendors to fulfill your order. Phone numbers are masked through our proxy system.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your data. Payment information is processed securely through Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure and is never stored on our servers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Order history is retained for business and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@tamalaundry.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
