These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tama Laundry platform, website, and mobile applications (the "Services") operated by Tama Laundry LLC ("Tama Laundry," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Tama Laundry provides on-demand laundry pickup and delivery services. Customers schedule pickups through our app or website. Independent contractor drivers collect laundry, transport it to our vendor partners for professional washing, and deliver clean laundry back to the customer.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. SMS Consent and Communications

By creating an account and providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive SMS/text messages from Tama Laundry at the phone number provided. These messages are essential to delivering our Services and include:

Message frequency varies based on your usage. Customers typically receive 3-8 messages per order. Drivers may receive 5-15 messages during active shifts.

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.

Opt-out: Text STOP to any Tama Laundry message to unsubscribe. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Note that opting out may prevent you from receiving important order updates.

Your consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase, but is required for real-time service delivery coordination.

5. Orders and Pricing

Prices are displayed before order confirmation. Final pricing is based on actual weight measured at our facility. Payment is authorized at order placement and captured after final weighing. Accepted payment methods include credit cards and debit cards processed through Stripe.

6. Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled before pickup at no charge. Same-day cancellations (after a driver has been assigned) may incur a $10 cancellation fee. Orders cannot be cancelled after laundry processing has begun.

7. Insurance and Claims

Optional garment insurance is available at checkout: Basic ($0.99) and Premium ($2.99). Claims for damaged or lost items must be filed within 48 hours of delivery through the app or by contacting support.

Drivers operate as independent contractors (1099) and are not employees of Tama Laundry. By accepting shifts, drivers agree to:

Tama Laundry's liability for any claim related to our Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question. We are not responsible for damage beyond our insurance coverage limits.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
