Start with the time your clean clothes must be back
A hotel laundry order has two deadlines: the pickup window and the time you need your clothes returned. Start with the second one. Your flight time alone is not enough; allow for checkout, travel to the airport, and time to pack.
Tama Laundry offers wash-and-fold pickup and delivery in Waikīkī. Standard service is 48 hours, with 24-hour rush when available. Same-day laundry in Honolulu is available subject to address and capacity. Confirm the actual return option before booking; a note saying “urgent” does not change the service speed.
If none of the available returns fits your departure, contact the team before placing an order. Do not schedule a later return on the assumption that the driver can leave it at your next hotel or meet you at the airport.
Agree on one handoff with the hotel
A hotel may have its own rules for outside laundry services. Ask whether staff can accept a bag for collection and hold the returned laundry. If they cannot, arrange a handoff with the driver at a permitted location.
Use the hotel name and full street address, rather than a room number alone. A room number helps identify your order; it does not give a driver permission to enter guest floors. The published hotel guides can help when one is available, but a guide is not proof of a hotel partnership or permission to leave a bag.
Before pickup, decide:
- Who will physically hand over the laundry.
- Which entrance or desk is the agreed collection point.
- The name staff should use to identify the bag.
- Whether you need to be reachable during the pickup window.
- Who can accept the return before you check out.
Keep driver notes separate from laundry instructions
Driver notes explain how to find and collect the order. Laundry instructions explain how to care for the contents. Keeping them separate makes both easier to follow.
An example handoff note, to adapt only after the hotel agrees:
Guest name: [name on reservation]. Pickup at [agreed desk or meeting point]. Staff have agreed to hold one clearly labeled bag. Please message me if it is not available. Return needed before [date and time].
Put gate codes, room details, and personal contact information only in the private booking fields, not in public reviews or comments. For care instructions, select the detergent and drying preferences you want, then describe any item needing attention. Add available hang-dry or bulky-item services separately.
Pack for a pickup, not a suitcase transfer
Empty pockets and keep passports, money, chargers, electronics, keys, and other valuables out of the bag. Check care labels. Tama does not provide dry cleaning or pressing, so set dry-clean-only clothing aside.
Keep an outfit and essentials with you for the period your order is away. A photo estimate can help you plan the load, but the final weight-based charge comes after weighing. Review the current estimate and fees before confirmation.
If you need loads washed separately, select that option and review its minimums instead of putting an instruction on an unmarked bag. Clearly identify any separately packed loads.
Compare the total for this stay
For a single vacation pickup, compare the complete order estimate with any alternative you are considering. A hotel price list might price individual garments; wash and fold generally prices ordinary laundry by weight, with some items charged separately. Compare the same items, speed, minimums, delivery, fees, and tax.

If your plans change
Contact Tama through your order or call (808) 694-9065 as soon as your checkout time, hotel, or travel plan changes. A new handoff or return address needs confirmation; an edited note alone should not be treated as acceptance of a new route.
